The train journey time between New York and Norwalk is around 1 hour and 7 minutes and covers a distance of around 42 miles. Typically 196 trains run weekly, although weekend and holiday schedules can vary, so check in advance.

Metro-North serves customers throughout New York and Connecticut. Norwalk stations are in Rowayton, South Norwalk and East Norwalk on the New Haven Line and CTrail’s Shore Line East line; as well as the Merritt 7 (Cranbury) station on the Danbury Branch line.

Trains on three routes connect with New York City’s Penn Station for transfers if needed, and two routes travel to Boston. Amtrak stations nearby to Norwalk are in Stamford, CT (STM) and Bridgeport, CT (BRP).
